Georgia’s Municipal Development Fund has announced a GEL 28.6 million tender for the remaining rehabilitation works in the central part of Velistsikhe village. The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank under its Livable Cities Investment Program.
The works are expected to be completed within 15 months of signing the contract. Bids will be accepted from October 16 to October 20.
The tender follows the termination of a roughly GEL 30 million contract with the joint venture of "Insisa" and "Java" in February 2026. The previous contractor had completed about 73% of the budget before the agreement was ended after the project missed its deadline.
The project includes the rehabilitation of around 60 houses, Theatre Square and the central street, as well as reconstruction of the theatre façade and first floor and improvements to the surrounding park.
