GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said Georgia has submitted its candidate for a new ambassador to the United States and is now awaiting the response.
“The candidate for ambassador has been sent to the US for about two weeks. We hope to receive confirmation soon,” Kobakhidze said.
The prime minister explained that the approval process typically takes between two weeks and two months, but expressed optimism for a swift resolution.
“We hope this process won’t be dragged out, and we’ll receive confirmation soon, after which the identity of our ambassador will become known,” he added.
