Georgia’s Treasury has published its budget performance report for the first five months of 2026, showing that the government collected GEL 9.4 billion in taxes during the period. This represents 85% of the six-month tax target.
Among major tax categories, corporate profit tax recorded the highest execution rate at 90.7%, while excise tax showed the lowest performance at 80.1%. Income tax reached GEL 3.5 billion (86.4% of target), and VAT totaled GEL 3.4 billion (83.6%).
Profit tax revenues amounted to GEL 1.49 billion, while excise tax brought in GEL 969 million. Import tax performance stood at 90% of the six-month plan, totaling GEL 64.8 million.
In addition to tax revenues, the state received GEL 75.6 million from privatization and GEL 106 million from fines and penalties, according to the Ministry of Finance.
