In the first two months of 2025, exports of nitrogen fertilizers from Georgia increased by 11.95%. According to official statistics, the locally produced product took sixth place in the ranking of the largest export commodities with a share of 2.9%.
In January-February, Georgia received $23 million 996 thousand in revenue from the export of nitrogen fertilizers, and a total of 75,222 tons of fertilizer left the country. It is worth noting that the volume of exports of goods decreased by 10.4%. This means that at the beginning of 2025, nitrogen fertilizers were sold more expensively on the international market. If in this period last year, the export of 1 ton of goods cost an average of $255, this year the cost increased to an average of $319.
In January-February, India took first place by nitrogen fertilizer exports this year.
