Georgia imported $6.97 million worth of eyewear in January–September 2026, up by 13% year-on-year, according to Geostat. Import volumes increased by 3.3% to 155 tonnes, compared with 150 tonnes in the same period of 2025.
China was the largest supplier by value, accounting for $2.7 million and 127 tonnes of imports. Italy ranked second with $2.6 million worth of eyewear, totaling 7.2 tonnes.
The United Arab Emirates ranked third, supplying $379,000 worth of eyewear, followed by France at $337,000.
Other suppliers among the TOP-10 were Turkey, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Austria and the Netherlands.
