Georgia’s imports totaled $12.5 billion in January-August 2026, up $400 million, or 3.4%, compared with the same period last year.
Passenger cars remained the largest import category, worth $2.36 billion, although car imports fell 12.5% year-on-year. Petroleum and petroleum products ranked second at $1.16 billion, up 37.4%.
Medicines were the third-largest import category, totaling $468.4 million, an increase of 4.3% year-on-year.
Other major import categories included natural gas, worth $331.9 million, and crude oil and petroleum products, totaling $283.1 million.
