In the first quarter of 2026, Georgia increased its imports of paper and cardboard. According to official data, the country imported 2,014 tons of these products between January and March, worth a total of $5,128,400. This means Georgia paid an average of $2,546.3 per ton.
For comparison, in the first quarter of 2025, Georgia imported 1,754 tons of paper and cardboard valued at $4,631,400. Year over year, imports increased 10.7% in value and 14.8% in volume.
In the first three months of 2026, Turkey remained Georgia’s largest supplier, exporting 690 tons worth $1,728,100. China ranked second with 695 tons valued at $1,420,900, followed by Russia, which supplied 169 tons worth $573,500.
