Georgia Received 2.5 BLN Cubic Meters Of Natural Gas From Azerbaijan In 2023

In 2023, Georgia received 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan, - the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan wrote on social media "Х".

According to Parviz Shakhbazov, Azerbaijan increased its natural gas exports by 5.3% last year and supplied the exporting markets with a total of 23 billion cubic meters.

The main exporting market is Europe, where 11.8 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijan gas was exported, of which Turkey received 9.5 billion cubic meters of gas, while Georgia received - 2.5 billion.

According to the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) will deliver 5.6 billion cubic meters natural gas to Turkey. According to Azerbaijan media, the supply of Azerbaijan gas to Europe started in 2020. Currently, the capacity of the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) of the Southern Gas Corridor is 12 billion cubic meters per year, which is planned to increase to 20 billion cubic meters by 2027.
