Georgia recorded an all-time high 5,521,866 international tourist visits in 2025, marking an 8.4% increase compared to 2024, according to data from the National Tourism Administration.
Total international visits, including all types of travel, reached 7,803,239, up 5.9% year-on-year.
In 2025, Georgia saw 499,890 visits from EU countries and the United Kingdom, up 14% from the previous year. The most notable increases came from:
- United Kingdom: +39.1% (+12,646 visits)
- Italy: +39.4% (+7,840)
- Spain: +48.6% (+7,167)
- Greece: +28.2% (+7,765)
- France: +17.4% (+4,917)
Visits from Gulf states reached 145,513, up 3.4%, driven by a 9.1% rise from Saudi Arabia (+8,042 visits).
Other significant annual increases included:
- Israel: +91,444 visits (+29.4%)
- Azerbaijan: +72,793 visits (+33.2%)
- China: +39,312 visits (+44.4%)
The final quarter of 2025 was particularly strong for tourism.
- Tourist visits (Q4): 1,214,772 — the highest on record, up 10.5% year-on-year
- Total international visits (Q4): 1,693,484 — up 7.6%
The tourism administration notes that the sustained growth across diverse markets positions 2025 as the most successful year in the country’s tourism statistics to date.
