In January–April 2026, Georgia slightly increased imports of spaghetti, pasta, vermicelli, and other similar products. According to official statistics, total imports reached USD 8.6 million, up 7.2% compared to the same period last year, when the figure stood at USD 8 million.
Import volumes also grew, rising from 7,129 tons in 2025 to 7,416 tons in 2026, an increase of about 4%. This reflects a moderate upward trend in both value and quantity of pasta imports.
Russia remained Georgia’s largest supplier of pasta products, exporting USD 3.6 million worth (2,935 tons). Italy ranked second with USD 1.9 million (1,465 tons), followed by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Poland, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and China.
Overall, the data shows that Georgia’s pasta imports remain relatively stable but continue to be dominated by Russia and Italy, which together account for the majority of supply.
