Georgia’s government will continue efforts to strengthen political and economic relations with Central Asian countries, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at a government meeting.

He noted that the past two months have been particularly active in terms of foreign policy, with a focus on Central Asia. During this period, Georgia held high-level visits to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, while the presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also visited Georgia.

Kobakhidze highlighted the signing of strategic partnership agreements with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, saying cooperation with Central Asian states has both political and economic importance.

According to the Prime Minister, Georgia’s role as a link between seven countries and the Black Sea gives it strategic importance for regional connectivity. He added that the government will continue working to further expand political, trade, and economic ties with Central Asian partners.
