Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze highlighted that 2025 saw the completion of several major projects, strengthening Georgia’s economy and transit capacity, and said that many large-scale initiatives are planned for next year. Among the key achievements this year was the 52-km Rikoti Pass project, described as strategically important for the country. Other notable completions include the Surami bypass and an 8-km section in Guria.

Sokhadze noted that tenders for the Tbilisi bypass, Lot 2 (from Tskneti to Avchala) have already been announced, and that next year will see the start of construction based on numerous projects across sectors such as schools, kindergartens, and sports infrastructure.

He also emphasized institutional reforms within the Ministry, improved project planning, adoption of new European standards, and steps to enhance quality and cost management, which will begin implementation in 2026.
