Davit Songulashvili, the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Georgia, on Wednesday met with Anna Mária Sikó, the Ambassador of Hungary to the country, to discuss prospects for deepening trade and economic ties between the two countries.
Songulashvili highlighted a “great potential” for cooperation in environmental protection and agricultural development, with the parties also discussing further development of relations in science, aquaculture, livestock, grain and tea production.
On her part, Sikó noted Georgia represented a “friendly country” for Hungary, and expressed readiness for “multilateral effective cooperation and sharing of experience”.
The meeting was also attended by Nino Tandilashvili, the First Deputy Minister, representatives from the Ministry and officials from the Embassy.
