Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, on Wednesday, met with Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, in Baku.
According to the Ministry’s press office, the duo focused on further development of bilateral trade and economic ties, energy and infrastructure projects, and investments.
“It was reported that the bilateral trade turnover between the nations topped 1 billion US dollars from January to October 2024, indicating that Azerbaijan is Georgia’s sixth major trading partner and third largest exporter.
The conversation touched on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project, the Black Sea Submarine Cable Project, The Baku–Tbilisi–Kars project as well as the possibility of additional flights between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The parties also noted that the development of the Green Energy Corridor will contribute to the further deepening of regional cooperation,” reads the press statement.
