Georgia’s government received 330 applications for foreign grants between October 1, 2025, and October 16, 2026, approving 215 of them, according to information provided by the Government Administration to BM.GE. The figures follow an earlier statement by Administration Head Levan Zhorzholiani, who said the approval rate for foreign grants was 95% but did not disclose the total number of applications.
Of the 330 applications submitted, decisions were made on 239 during the reporting period. The government rejected 13 applications, approved 215 and exempted 11 from the approval procedure under existing legislation.
As of October 16, another 88 applications remained under review or administrative processing. The Government Administration also said two applications had been withdrawn by donors, while one was forwarded to the relevant ministry for consideration within its area of competence.
The administration declined to provide financial details for individual approved grants, saying it does not currently process data on the amounts requested in each application. It added that approval depends on whether a project’s objectives, use of funds and expected outcomes align with the government’s program, strategic documents and national interests.
