Georgian Honey Exporting Price Jumps to USD 43 per kg in Q1 2026

თაფლი

Georgia’s honey exporting price increased sharply in the first quarter of 2026, even as total export volumes declined. According to official statistics, exported volumes fell by around 100 kilograms compared to the same period last year, but the overall exporting value rose significantly.

In Q1 2026, Georgia exported 400 kg of locally produced honey worth $17,300, while the average export price surged to about $43 per kilogram. This marks a major increase compared to 2025, when the average price stood at just $11.4 per kilogram and only re-export activity was recorded.

Export performance has been volatile in recent years. While shipments grew steadily between 2019 and 2023, a downward trend began after 2024. In the first quarter of 2025, Georgia did not export locally produced honey at all, and only 500 kg of re-exported honey worth $5,700 was recorded.

The United Arab Emirates remained the main destination, importing $11,400 worth (200 kg) of Georgian honey. Hong Kong followed with 100 kg valued at $5,800, while exports to Russia were minimal at just $100.
