Georgian Prime Minister will pay an official visit to Armenia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will pay an official visit to Armenia on March 25, the press service of the Government of Georgia reports.

As per the Government Administration, an official welcoming ceremony will take place at the Government residence of the Republic of Armenia, where the Prime Minister of Armenia will receive the Georgian Head of Government.

During the visit, Irakli Kobakhidze and Nikol Pashinyan will hold one-on-one and extended-format meetings, followed by joint statements to the media.

Additionally, during the official visit, the Georgian PM will meet with the Armenian President, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The Georgian delegation, led by the Prime Minister, will also include First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Giorgi Amilakhvari, as well as Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze also visited Azerbaijan.

Armenia and Georgia, which established diplomatic relations in 1992, dynamically develop ties in such areas as trade, tourism, logistics, and transportation. According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, meetings and contacts between high-ranking officials and heads of industry departments of the two countries are regular. Consultations between the foreign ministries of the two states also have a regular character.

Since July 2023, residents of Armenia and Georgia have had the opportunity to cross the border between the two countries by presenting only ID cards. Since January 2024, Georgia and Armenia have entered into a strategic partnership.
