The Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) is upgrading its data storage infrastructure through a GEL 457,000 tender. The tender was announced on July 6, with bid submissions closing on August 6, and the procedure is currently in the selection and evaluation stage.
According to the tender documents, the procurement involves purchasing three years of manufacturer technical support for two HPE Alletra 6030 disk storage systems currently operating in the company’s data centers.
GSE stated that the project aims to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of its IT infrastructure, which is considered critical for managing Georgia’s power system. The selected company must provide 24/7 technical support, software updates, replacement of damaged components, and incident management services.
The support must be provided directly by the manufacturer rather than through a rebranded or third-party solution. The winning bidder will also need to submit official confirmation from the manufacturer proving access to technical support and software updates.
Under the tender conditions, the service must be activated within 30 calendar days after signing the contract. The bidder must also provide a price justification if its offer is 20% or more below the estimated procurement value. The tender guarantee for participants is set at GEL 4,573.
