Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze held a bilateral meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science Andrii Butenko.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Education, the sides discussed opportunities to further develop cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine in the field of education.
Mikanadze briefed his Ukrainian counterpart on initiatives planned and implemented as part of Georgia’s education reform.
The ministers highlighted the importance of international cooperation in developing education systems, the role of PISA results, and the exchange of best practices.
They also discussed deepening cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine in scientific research and the possibility of signing a new agreement in the field.
Butenko thanked Mikanadze for Georgia’s support for Ukraine and for organizing examinations for students to enrol in Ukrainian universities.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in education and implement joint educational projects.
