A Georgian vineyard will be planted on the grounds of the Levil Estate as part of a new cultural and agricultural initiative. The project follows a memorandum of understanding signed between the Georgian National Museum, the Agricultural Scientific-Research Center, and Chateau Zegaani LLC.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the goal is to promote Georgian wine culture and contribute to the development of the Levil Estate Park, where native trees, fruit trees, and vineyards will be featured.
Chateau Zegaani LLC will fund and implement the vineyard project free of charge, while the Scientific-Research Center will provide technical support and expertise.
Chateau Zegaani, based in Kakheti’s Zegaani village, is 97% owned by David Tatulashvili, a dual citizen of Georgia and Russia, with 3% held by the state.
The vineyard is expected to serve as both a cultural symbol and an educational resource, highlighting Georgia’s rich winemaking heritage.
