In 2025, Georgia significantly increased its imports of milk and cream, according to official trade data. From January to December, the country imported $22.7 million worth of dairy products, totaling 19,572 tons.
For comparison, during the same period in 2024, Georgia imported $16.6 million worth of milk and cream, amounting to 14,665 tons. This means the value of imports grew by 36.4%, while the volume increased by 33.4% year-over-year.
Azerbaijan remained Georgia’s leading supplier in 2025, delivering $5 million worth of milk and cream, or 6,018 tons.

- Russia – $4 million, 3,179 tons
- Poland – $3.5 million, 3,278 tons
- France – $3.3 million, 824 tons
- Belarus – $2.4 million, 2,862 tons
- Turkey – $1 million, 1,142 tons
- Germany – $846,000, 642 tons
- Iran – $802,000, 503 tons
- Ukraine – $640,000, 597 tons
- Italy – $560,000, 333 tons
The notable rise in both import value and volume reflects Georgia’s growing reliance on foreign dairy supplies, with neighboring Azerbaijan retaining its position as the dominant trading partner in this category.
