Georgia's deputy prime minister and Armenian ambassador discuss boosting economic ties between countries

Armenia's ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan held a meeting with Georgia's first deputy prime minister and minister of economy and sustainable development Levan Davitashvili. This took place on March 14 in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi.

According to the press service of the embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia, the meeting addressed issues related to intensifying economic and business ties between the two countries. Special attention was paid to mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors, reflecting the importance of strengthening interaction between Armenia and Georgia in the economic sphere.

Earlier, BMG reported, citing statistical data, on a significant increase in trade turnover between Armenia and Georgia, which amounted to $19.6 million in January 2024, indicating a 23% increase compared to January 2023.
