Georgia’s economy is developing steadily and sustainably, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said, commenting on the country’s economic performance in the first nine months of 2026.
She highlighted growth in trade, education and the IT sector, as well as the significant contributions of transport, logistics and tourism despite regional challenges.
Kvrivishvili said Georgia’s peaceful environment and economic predictability provide additional incentives for domestic and international investors to continue investing and expanding their businesses, supporting job creation and economic growth.
According to preliminary Geostat estimates, Georgia’s real GDP grew by 6.0% year-on-year in September 2026, while average growth for the first nine months reached 7.4%.
