The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) published preliminary export figures for April 2026, according to which goods worth $716 million were exported from Georgia abroad in April, which is $99.4 million, or 16%, more than in the same period last year.
At the same time, imports decreased by 3%, or $44 million, and amounted to $1.48 billion last month.
In total, in the first 4 months of 2026, Georgia's exports amounted to $2.4 billion, which is an annual increase of 21%, while imports decreased by 5%, to $5.7 billion.
Geostat will publish detailed foreign trade data on May 19, which will reveal the goods exports increased last month and what is causing the decline in imports.
