Georgia’s exports totaled $3.87 billion in January–June 2026, marking a 20% increase compared with the same period last year, according to preliminary data from Geostat. Total foreign trade turnover reached $12.92 billion, up by 5.8% year-on-year, while imports amounted to $9.04 billion and the trade deficit stood at $5.17 billion.
Passenger cars remained Georgia’s top export product, generating $938 million, although exports in this category declined by 22.9% annually. The second-largest export category was oil and petroleum products, which surged to $486.9 million, followed by precious metal ores and concentrates at $304.3 million.
Other major export products included ferroalloys ($147.6 million), copper ores and concentrates ($142 million), wine ($117.2 million), spirits ($114.1 million), and mineral waters ($101 million). Significant growth was recorded in petroleum products (+974.3%), copper ores (+287.4%), and precious metal ores (+74.3%).
According to Geostat, Georgia’s largest export markets in the first half of 2026 were Kyrgyzstan ($431.8 million), China ($428.6 million), and Azerbaijan ($335.9 million). These countries accounted for a significant share of Georgia’s export revenues during the period.
