Georgia’s honey export revenues dropped by 23.5% in the first nine months of 2025, totaling nearly $166,000. Export volumes also declined slightly, by 2.9%, to 23.4 tons, - according to official trade statistics.
Although honey exports remain relatively small, the sector had shown consistent growth since 2021, before shifting to a downward trend in 2023.
France continues to dominate as Georgia’s primary export destination, accounting for 21.6 tons of honey worth USD 139,700. Armenia ranked second, importing 1.2 tons valued at USD 13,600, followed by Japan, which received 300 kilograms worth USD 4,400.
Smaller quantities were also exported to Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, and the United States.
The decline in export income despite stable shipment volumes may indicate lower average export prices or changes in destination markets.
