Georgia's Ministry of Infrastructure says it exceeded its state budget target in the first six months of 2026, with budget execution reaching 104%.
According to the ministry, GEL 1.033 billion was spent on infrastructure projects during the reporting period, exceeding the planned GEL 996.9 million by GEL 36.6 million.
The ministry said work continued across the country on road, water supply, education, tourism and sports infrastructure projects. Of the total spending, the Roads Department disbursed GEL 638.1 million (106% of plan), the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia spent GEL 250.5 million (99% of plan), while the United Water Supply Company of Georgia utilized GEL 140.3 million, equal to 104% of its planned budget.
Detailed data on budget execution by individual large-scale infrastructure projects is expected to be published by Georgia's Treasury on July 20, 2026.
