As of March 2025, Georgia's M2 money supply made a gradual upward trend of 8% y-o-y and reached approximately 27.3 billion GEL, according to the statistics of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The volume of cash in circulation has increased by 11% annually and is equal to 6.3 billion GEL.
According to the statistics of the National Bank of Georgia, broad money consists of the following components: cash, a combination of time and savings deposits denominated in the national currency of the resident business and household sectors in the banking sector, excluding deposits of the banking and government sectors.
