Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze.
The head of the government congratulated the diplomat on his new position and wished him success in his future work.
It was noted that the Republic of Georgia and the Republic of Armenia are connected by close friendly and good neighborly relations, and hope was expressed for active cooperation in various fields in the future.
Giorgi Sharvashidze has worked in different positions in the Ministry of Education and Science. He has also been engaged in scientific and educational activities. In 2016-2022, he was the rector of Tbilisi State University. In addition, from 2004 to 2013, he worked at the Open Society Institute in Budapest.
