Georgia’s central purchasing body under the Government Administration has announced a consolidated tender to purchase 34 M3 category city buses. According to the State Procurement Agency’s electronic system, the estimated value of the purchase is GEL 9.52 million, including VAT.
The tender was announced on August 4, 2026, with bid submissions opening on August 6 and closing on August 7 at 16:00. The procurement documents state that the buses must be 10-11 meters long and capable of carrying up to 80 passengers.
The buses must be from the same brand and model, manufactured no earlier than 2025, left-hand drive, unused, and have mileage of no more than 2,000 kilometers at the time of delivery. They must also be customs-cleared.
According to technical requirements, the buses must be low-entry or full low-floor models, include at least 24 seats, and have designated space and safety equipment for wheelchair users. They must be equipped with diesel engines meeting at least the Euro 5 emissions standard, with a minimum power output of 160 kW.
Companies participating in the tender must also demonstrate experience, having supplied at least 80 buses in Georgia since January 1, 2020. The tender documents do not specify which city the new buses will be intended for.
