Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday said his Government would discuss its progress and ongoing reforms at the meeting of the European Union-Georgia Association Council in Brussels on Tuesday.

The Georgian delegation, led by Garibashvili and involving ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development and Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to depart for Brussels today, the Government Administration said.

“We are leaving for Brussels today. You may well be aware that the EU-Georgia Association Council will be holding its 7th Session. I will personally lead the delegation. Ministers will be there as well – Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development (MESD) and Foreign Affairs (MFA). We will, of course, have a discussion on the progress and reforms that we are designing now. Naturally, we will talk about 12 recommendations that are being actively addressed at the Parliament of Georgia by our ruling party. Of course, discussion will also focus on the current situation in the country – both political and economic. In general, we will review the challenges faced by the region in relation to a war in Ukraine and its possible impact on the region and Europe at large. Once again, I wish to say that we will be presenting a detailed overview of our achieved progress to our European partners” noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
