According to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, the country’s airports served a total of 6,489,755 passengers in the first nine months of 2025, marking a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.
Tbilisi International Airport handled nearly 4.1 million passengers (+12% YoY), while Kutaisi International Airport served about 1.4 million passengers (+10%). The strongest growth was observed at Batumi International Airport, which recorded 995,099 passengers, a 32% increase from 2024.
Air cargo also showed significant growth. In the first nine months, Georgian airports transported nearly 26,000 tons of cargo, a 50% increase compared to 2024. Overall airspace use, including take-offs, landings, and overflights, rose by 5%, with 229,972 flights recorded in total.
In terms of passenger traffic by airline, Wizz Air Hungary remains the market leader, carrying 1,065,618 passengers (17% market share).
