The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) published the Harmonized Index Of Consumer Prices. According to the document, the Harmonized Index Of Consumer Prices increased by 1.8% in April y-o-y. According to the mentioned index, 1.5% inflation was observed in April in Georgia, which hit a record high in the last 12 months.
According to the Harmonized Index, food prices decreased by 0.9% year-on-year, but the prices for transport group, fuel are up about 30% compared to 2023.

Alcoholic beverages, tobacco - increase of 5.1%
Clothing and shoes - decrease -3.7%
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of heating - decrease -2.8%
Furniture, household items and decorations, home maintenance - decrease -1.6%
Health care - increase of 1.3%
Transport - increase 10%
Communications - decrease -1.3%
Leisure, entertainment and culture - decrease of 1.8%
Education - 3.5% decrease
Hotels, cafes and restaurants - increase of 8%
Various goods and services - increase of 8.1%
