Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration of Georgia met with Andrew Jewell, Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Georgia.
The meeting focused on the ongoing cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the IMF. The dignitaries discussed the progress of the state-owned enterprise (SOE) reform.
Levan Zhorzholiani noted that the optimization process has already begun in the energy enterprises and Georgian Railway, resulting in savings of several tens of millions of GEL.
Attention was also given to the main areas of operation of the Government Efficiency Department, as well as to the streamlining of procurement practices within state-owned enterprises (SOE) and the steps taken by the Government of Georgia in this regard.
