High-Mountain Fund Allocates GEL 14.2 MLN for Municipal Infrastructure Projects

The government has allocated a total of GEL 14,200,113 from the High-Mountain Settlements Development Fund to municipalities for infrastructure projects, according to an official decree. The funding will be used for specific development works in the Chokhatauri and Lentekhi municipalities.

Chokhatauri Municipality will receive GEL 764,958 for three projects. These include the construction of a concrete road from the central highway to the village center in Kvabgha (GEL 302,857), the rehabilitation of a road in Zoti leading from the school to a local shrine (GEL 90,569), and the construction of a sports stadium in Bakhmaro on the grounds of a former sanatorium (GEL 371,532).

Lentekhi Municipality will receive GEL 291,095, which will be used for two projects: the improvement of a mineral water site in the village of Laskadura (GEL 81,754) and similar works in the village of Khopuri (GEL 209,341).

According to the government decree, the decision was made in line with the ruling of the Government Commission on Regional Development dated June 3, 2026, and is based on existing budget legislation.
