Georgian honey producer “Hoby” expects a 35% increase in productivity by the end of 2025, according to the company’s founder, Mikheil Chigladze, who spoke to BM.GE.
Chigladze explained that December is traditionally the company’s busiest month, accounting for up to 70% of total annual sales. “During this period, we collect the most honey from farmers. In the first nine months of this year, we’ve already received around 45–50 tons of honey,” he said.
The entrepreneur noted that 2025 has been a particularly high-yield year, which he attributes to “beekeepers’ improved expertise and the use of modern agrobiotics.”
Operating under the ‘Hoby’ brand, the company exports honey to the U.S., Japan, and several European markets, and is currently awaiting new order confirmations from the Arab and American markets. Domestically, Hoby products are sold in the following store chains: Zghapari, Gvirila, Spar, Magniti, and Daily.
