Holiday Inn Telavi, which reopened in March after several months of renovation, expects to increase its performance by 7–8% this year compared to 2025, provided current trends continue, founder Shalva Eristavi told BM.GE.

The hotel is currently operating at around 60% occupancy following infrastructure upgrades, including room renovations, new flooring, and general refurbishment aimed at improving guest comfort and service quality.

Eristavi said the hotel's occupancy has benefited from sporting events in Telavi, particularly an international tennis tournament that has attracted visitors from several countries. He added that such events have a direct positive impact on tourism demand in the region.

The founder expects the active tourism season to continue through the end of October. He also noted a shift in booking behavior, saying guests now tend to make reservations much closer to their travel dates, unlike previous years when bookings were often made six months to a year in advance.
