Hotel Prices in Georgia Up By 9% Y-O-Y In January - PMC Research

Hotel prices in Georgia increased by 8.9% year-on-year in January 2026, despite a 0.8% decline compared to December 2025, according to the PMC Research. The average price for a double room reached 107 GEL in family hotels, 152 GEL in three-star hotels, 229 GEL in four-star hotels, and 416 GEL in five-star hotels.

The highest prices for five-star hotels were recorded in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, where the average reached 1,016 GEL. Tbilisi followed with an average of 535 GEL, and Kakheti ranked next at 518 GEL. These elevated prices reflect strong tourism demand and the concentration of premium hotels in these regions.

On a monthly basis, the price index for three-, four-, and five-star hotels decreased by 2.3%, while the price index for family-type hotels increased by 5.7%. Despite a slight dip from December, the overall market remained relatively stable in January.

In annual terms, prices continued to grow steadily: the index for three-, four-, and five-star hotels rose by 10.4%, while family hotel prices increased by 4.4% year-on-year. The analysis is based on data from 939 hotels listed on booking.com across Georgia’s 10 regions and Tbilisi.
