The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) has established new planned tariffs for water supply, with household tariffs remaining unchanged for both non-metered and metered subscribers.
According to GNERC, the tariffs set for the water supply company will be valid from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026.
“The tariffs set by GNERC will be applied to subscribers of Tbilisi, Mtskheti, and Rustavi. Non-household water supply tariffs for Georgian Water and Power LLC have increased. According to the GNERC decision, the new non-household tariff in Tbilisi and Mtskheta was set at 8,807 GEL/cu.m, and in Rustavi – at 6,500 GEL/cu.m. The rates will be valid from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026,” the GNERC stated.
According to the Commission, the tariff changes aim to rehabilitate and replace depreciated water supply infrastructure in Tbilisi, Mtskheta, and Rustavi, with a total investment of 363,868,823 GEL by the company from 2024 to 2026.
