The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reports that the average nominal salary of employees in the health sector was GEL 448 in 2010, while 3Q2022 the figure amounted to GEL 1,429.

The opposition MP Giorgi Vashadze requested information about the average, median, minimum and maximum salaries of medical personnel by the year. Geostat does not have information about minimum and maximum salaries.

As for other data, the nominal salary in the field of healthcare was determined as follows:

2010 - GEL 448.2
2011 - GEL 513.2
2012 - GEL 592.9
2013 - GEL 659.3
2014 - GEL 745.8
2015 - GEL 854.4

From 1 January 2023, the minimum salary of doctors was determined with GEL 7 per hour (at least GEL 1260 per month), while for nurses - GEL 4.4 per hour (at least GEL 792 per month).
