The number of vehicles registered in Georgia increased by almost 5% during the last year amounting to 1.563 million units.
As of Geostat, 1.333 million units of passenger cars were registered in the country last year, 111.2 thousand - trucks, 64.6 thousand - special vehicles, 54.3 thousand - buses and minibuses.
According to the distribution of motor vehicles according to regions, Tbilisi is on the first place. The number of cars in the capital increased by 20.5% amounting to 529.3 thousand units.
Last year, 467.9 thousand vehicles, 26.3 thousand trucks, 19.7 thousand special vehicles, and 15.2 thousand passenger cars were registered in Tbilisi.
