How Many Passengers Did The Local Airports Serve?

Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reports that Mestia Airport served 2,494 passengers in the first three months of 2023, which was 77% more than the number of passengers transported in the same period of 2022 and 100% more than the number of passengers received in the first quarter of 2019 before the pandemic.

Ambrolauri Airport received 254 passengers, which was 9% less than the number of passengers served in January-March 2022 and 30% more than the number of passengers received in the same period of 2019. Compared to January-March 2019, the passenger flow at Natakhtari Airport increased by 231%, the increase was 183% compared to the first quarter of 2022. The airport served 4,306 passengers.

In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 4,839 flights were made in the airports of Georgia. Of which, the number of regular flights was 3,802, and the number of charter flights was 1,037. Compared to the number of flights made in the same period of 2022, the number of flights increased by 22%, while the recovery rate compared to the same period of 2019 is 93%.
