According to the Revenue Service, as of today, 26,655 individuals are registered in the electronic database on the list of persons addicted to gambling.
The agency reports that 58 individuals were registered based on a judge's order, and 26,597 applications were registered based on the will of the person.
Amendments to the Law of Georgia "On the Organization of Lotteries, Gambling and Profitable Games" were introduced on March 1, 2022. According to the law, information about 1,552,685 individuals is automatically included in the list.
It is worth noting that the procedure for self-restriction of persons addicted to gambling has been further simplified. The user has the opportunity to easily enter their data on the website www.rs.ge without authorization through quick identification. In addition, data can be entered into the list of persons addicted to gambling from the page of an authorized user by submitting an electronic application.
