‘The Budapest Global Dialogue is a format where security-related issues are primarily discussed, and it is an excellent opportunity when Georgia is invited to this format, and we have the chance to discuss our country’s challenges and vision,” Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, stated in Budapest, where she is participating in the Budapest Global Dialogue.

“This event will be attended by both official representatives and representatives of research organisations, from various European countries as well as from the United States. Of course, it is an excellent opportunity when Georgia is invited to this format, and we have the chance to discuss precisely Georgia’s challenges, Georgia’s vision, and the importance of the fight for global peace today, the preservation of peace. Particularly in our region, where numerous challenges and interests converge, it is therefore crucial for us to participate in this event alongside our Hungarian partners. I will also have the opportunity to discuss issues that are important to us,” stated Botchorishvili.

According to her, the visit will also provide an opportunity to review Georgia-Hungary relations once again. As Botchorishvili stated, Hungary is a firm supporter of Georgia on our country’s European path.

“Of course, a visit to Budapest is a good opportunity to review relations between our countries once again. As you know, Hungary is a strong and vocal supporter of Georgia, particularly regarding Georgia’s European integration and its relations with the European Union. In this context, we must discuss all the challenges and important issues in Georgia-EU relations, as well as matters related to our country’s position in international organisations. Hungary’s support remains vital, and our cooperation continues across various areas.

You know that we have very close relations in all directions. There is intensive political dialogue between governments. Ministers from various sectors are constantly in contact with their Hungarian colleagues, and of course, something of a summary of this is very important,” Maka Botchorishvili stated.
