In June 2025, ice cream ranked fifth among the most expensive products in Georgia, with prices rising by 29% compared to last year. BM.GE looked into where Georgia imports and exports ice cream, noting that imports have also increased alongside prices.
According to official data, Georgia imported 604 tons of ice cream worth USD3.4 million in the first five months of 2025 (January-May). By comparison, during the same period last year, imports were 470 tons valued at USD 2.6 million, an increase of 28.5%.
Turkey remains Georgia’s largest ice cream supplier by value, while Ukraine leads in volume.

- Netherlands: USD 60,000, 11 tons
- Romania: USD 38,000, 23 tons
- Iran: USD 19,000, 12 tons
On the export side, Georgia sold 67 tons of ice cream in the first five months of 2025, earning USD 759,000, a nearly 17-fold increase compared to 4 tons worth USD 58,000 during the same period last year.
Georgia exported ice cream to two countries in 2025: Azerbaijan, with 47 tons valued at USD 516,000, and Armenia, with 20 tons worth USD 243,000.
