Alp Er Ersoy, General Manager at TAV Urban Georgia LLC declares that if vaccination is not conducted effectivly, the aviation sector will not return to pre-pandemic levels until 2023.
“Vaccination is very important for us to reach pre-pandemic levels rapidly. If the process is not carried out effectively, Georgia will be able to reach the levels of 2019 only in 2023. Consequently, vaccination is critical to overcome the pandemic and rapidly return to the normal development. From the moment the pandemic started, our company did its best to protect the safety of both passengers and our staff throughout the airport. People are tired to be in lockdown and want to travel, but it has to be safe for them and our airports have all the standards to make travel safe and at the same time comfortable for passengers," said Alp Er Ersoy.
According to General Manager at TAV Urban Georgia LLC, one of their priorities is to make a comfortable and safe environment for passengers. He notes, that the company actively observes customers' behavior, which changed greatly amid the pandemic.
“Due to the pandemic, the airlines have suffered serious losses, so in order to reach pre-pandemic levels and increase the passenger flow, we are actively negotiating with the airlines to create favorable conditions for them. Negotiations are underway with airlines that flew before the pandemic to increase their flight frequencies. With the involvement of the marketing team, we negotiate with new airlines on a daily basis to interest them and enter the Georgian aviation market. We are deeply convinced that the flow of passengers will increase rapidly and, most importantly, passengers will find an absolutely safe and comfortable environment at all our airports," he said.
