Union of Oil Products Importers reports, that the imports of gasoline and diesel fuel increased in between January and May.
During 5M24, the imports of gasoline and diesel fuel in Georgia amounted to 502.1 thousand tons, which was 63.3 thousand tons or 14.4% more compared to the same period last year (438.8 thousand tons).
Of which, during the first 5 months of 2024, the imports of gasoline fuel amounted to 251.6 thousand tons, and the imports of diesel fuel stood at 250.4 thousand tons.
According to the categories, during the months of January-May 2024, the imports of A-91 regular type gasoline amountd to 135.6 thousand tons (53.9%); A-95 premium gasoline - 110.3 thousand tons (43.8%); A-98 super gasoline - 5.7 thousand tons (2.3%);
During the same months, the largest volume of gasoline and diesel fuel was imported from Russia - 261.9 thousand tons, which was 52.2% of all imports, followed by Bulgaria - 73.6 thousand tons - 14.7%; Romania - 55.9 thousand tons - 11.1%; Azerbaijan - 48 thousand tons - 9.6%; Belarus - 26.9 thousand tons - 5.3%; Turkmenistan - 13.9 thousand tons - 2.8%; Greece - 11.2 thousand tons - 2.2%; Cyprus - 6.3 thousand tons - 1.2%; Turkey - 2.1 thousand tons - 0.4% and others.
