Imports of Motor Oils Are Up, While Imports Of Aviation Fuel - Down In 5M23

The Union of Petroleum Products Importers reports, that during January-May 2023, the imports of lubricants amounted to 8.93 thousand tons, which was 0.74 thousand tons or 9% more compared to the same period of the previous year (8.19 thousand tons).

During the 5 months of the current year, the largest volume of lubricants was imported from Turkey - 1.97 thousand tons, which was 22.1% of total imports, followed by Iran - 1.72 thousand tons (19.3%); Germany - 1.04 thousand tons (11.6%), Azerbaijan - 0.54 thousand tons (6%); and others.

In January-May 2023, the imports of aviation oil amounted to 45.9 thousand tons, which was 1.1 thousand tons or 2.3% less compared to the same period of 2022 (47 thousand tons).

During 5 months of the current year, 51.2% (23.5 thousand tons) of aviation oil import was carried out from Turkmenistan, 20.5% (9.4 thousand tons) - from Greece, 19.2% (8.8 thousand tons) - from Azerbaijan; 9.1% (4.2 thousand tons) - from Turkey.
