Imports Of Petroleum Bitumen And LPG Was Up In January - Union of Oil Products Importers

The Union of Oil Products Importers, the imports of oil bitumen and liquefied gases increased in January 2023.

According to the Business Association, in January 2023, 9.6 thousand tons of petroleum bitumen were imported, which was 7.7 thousand tons or 405.3% more than the indicator of the same period of 2022 (7.7 thousand tons).

In January of this year, oil bitumen in the largest volume - 6.9 thousand tons was imported from Russia, which was 71.9% of all imports, followed by Turkey - 1.7 thousand tons (17.7%); Iraq - 1 thousand tons (10.4%); Azerbaijan - 0.02 thousand tons (0.2%).

As for the imports of liquefied gases, in January 2023, business entities operating in the country purchased 4.03 thousand tons of liquefied gas, which is 1.73 thousand tons or 75.2% more than the indicator of the same period last year (2.30 thousand tons).

In January of this year, 99.8% (4.02 thousand tons) of liquefied gas (LPG) imports came from the Russian Federation.
