The total net profit of 18 commercial banks operating in Georgia in January amounted to GEL 238, which was 1% (GEL 3 million) more compared to the 2024 result. According to the financial statements submitted by banks to the NBG, Bank of Georgia ranks first in terms of net profit, which generated 126 million GEL in net profit during January; TBC holds the second position with 89 million GEL, while Liberty is in third place with a profit of 11.4 million GEL.
According to statistics, 4 commercial banks are at a loss instead of profit, among them the largest - VTB Bank suffered a loss of 12 million GEL, also at a loss are Silk Bank with 1.6 million GEL, PayBank with 0.1 million GEL and Hash Bank with 0.6 million GEL.
